Ben Hogan and the Crazy Canucks 9

It is actually pretty well known that inside 1950's and 60's Ben Hogan familiar with prep to your Masters at Seminole in North Palm Beach, canucks store, Florida. His friend Claude Harmon was the pro there in the winter time instruction online those times. Anyway it appears that back into the early sixties a 4-some of young Canadian pros and admitted Hogan junkies and Tour wannabe's including Irv Lightstone (without doubt one of Moe Norman's 1950's travelling buddies) and George Knudson (pictured here) popularized lounging around during the bushes at Seminole to trap a glimpse of Hogan's practice sessions. On the first day they got began of one's premises by security. Same task on day two. On day three those pesky and persistent Canucks try it for yourself again and damned if Hogan doesn't pull that security guard aside and tell him ... "Let 'em watch."By then Hogan was probably attentive to who the groupies were. You see Seminole assistant Dave Marr had met the Canadian contingent earlier during a tournament coupled with messed up and spilled the beans about where Hogan was practicing. But that bit makes no difference. What matters is that often Hogan require respected their persistence and hearing who we were looking at and they were aspiring (read struggling) pro's the same as he once were he threw them a bone. Knudson and pals watched Hogan hit balls for just two more hours. Satisfied and grateful to the gesture they didn't return and peace and tranquility one more time returned on the bushes 'round Seminole.
